The GoodLife and FTR family is an independent PT owned business dedicated to our patient’s and profession. We provide the highest quality patient care based on the most current research and methodology. Our therapists participate in ongoing certification programs to help our patients on their journey to better. We believe your rehabilitation deserves our full attention which is why we take the time to perform routine re-assessments and provide patients with educational materials to further progress their recovery.

Mickey Shah

Mickey Shah

PT, Physical Therapist, D.Sc., Certified Vestibular Therapist

Dr. Mickey Shah, PT, D.Sc. OCS, FAAOMPT, Cert.MDT; Certified Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist.

It was his strong desire to help others and a simple treatment philosophy of treating patients like family that motivated Dr. Shah to open his practice over 10 years ago. As a university professor and clinical researcher, Dr. Shah brings innovative and evidence-based practices to examining and treating his patients. Dr. Shah also maintains a specialization in Vestibular Rehabilitation, including Concussion Management, as well as a specialization in Spinal Disorders including: Headaches, Neck Pain, Low back Pain and Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction.

Dr. Shah lives in Frankfort with his wife and two daughters and enjoys putting his ‘handyman’ skills to work on small projects around the house. However, he is quickly realizing that small projects unexpectedly turn into big projects. And when off the clock, he enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, playing hockey and skiing.

Dana Weith

Dana Weith

PT, DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Vestibular Therapist

Dana started practicing Physical Therapy in 2009 with Functional Therapy and Rehabilitation and is happy to continue serving the community with the GoodLife team.  She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology where she was also a member of the university’s swim team. She further continued her education at Midwestern University in Downers Grove where she obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009.

Dana grew up in the Tinley Park area, spent 10 years living in Chicago, and recently returned to the suburbs with her family.  She loves spending time with her husband, her sons Brayden and Austin, and her Siberian Husky Dakota. She is passionate about travelling and leading an active lifestyle in which she has participated in crossfit, running, and triathlons. In the winter months she enjoys venturing out to the ski slopes and during the remainder of the seasons she enjoys hiking and bike riding with her family.

She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), a credentialed clinical instructor, and holds certifications in vestibular rehabilitation and FMS.  She is also currently pursuing her certification in MDT.

Kathryn Ehmann

Kathryn Ehmann

PT, DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Vestibular Therapist

Kate graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services, a minor in Communicative Disorders, and a minor in Nutrition Dietetics and Hospitality. She further continued her education at Governors State University (GSU) where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015.

While attending GSU she was an active member of the Physical Therapy Student Association and played for the GSU volleyball team. In her spare time, she enjoys staying active at Pure Barre and SPENGA classes. Kate and her husband recently purchased their first home in Naperville where they enjoy walking the Riverwalk and riding bikes through the trails. 

Kate is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and a certified Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapist. She is a credentialed clinical instructor and is the Site Coordinator of Clinical Education (SCCE) for Goodlife Physical Therapy.

Steven Tijerina

Steven Tijerina

PT, DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Vestibular Therapist

Steven Tijerina is a Physical Therapist at Goodlife Physical Therapy in Orland Park, IL. He was born and raised in the south suburbs of IL. He has a passion working with patients suffering from orthopedic, neurologic, and vestibular impairments. Dr. Tijerina believes that every patient should receive the highest level of care possible, and believes that every patient should be treated like close family with personalized one-on-one care.

Steven graduated from Governors State University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduating from school, Dr. Tijerina has pursued specialized training for rehabilitation of patients with Parkinson’s Disease and vestibular disorders. He completed a competency based program for vestibular rehabilitation endorsed by the American Physical Therapy Association and is certified to use the LSVT-BIG program, a method designed to help treat patients with Parkinson’s Disease. Currently, Dr. Tijerina is pursing certification in the MDT approach (McKenzie Method) to treat spinal pain and dysfunction. Dr. Tijerina also enjoys helping patients with chronic foot pain, jaw pain and knee pain.

Apart from treating patients, Steven loves to spend his free time outdoor hiking and serving his community. Dr. Tijerina enjoys hosting patient support groups and community workshops to help educate the South Suburban Community. Dr. Tijerina also uses his free time to help educate other physical therapists on Vestibular rehab, acting as a Lab instructor and Course Liaison for a Physical Therapist Education Company.

Megha Patel

Megha Patel

PT, Physical Therapist

Megha graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2006 with her Bachelors in Allied Health, and graduated with her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 2007.  Since graduating she has worked in an outpatient Orthopedic setting.
 
Megha grew up in Connecticut and move to Illinois in 2013, now living in the south suburbs.  She and her husband are really enjoying living in the mid-west.  Megha enjoys spending her time with her husband and her two kids, Niam and Mila.  They enjoy traveling, cooking, and dancing together.  She loves being outdoors and being active, participating in activities such as outdoor walks, riding her bike, swimming, and playing all sports.
 
She has been a stay at home mom for the last three and a half years.  Megha joined the Goodlife family in January of 2020, and is excited to be part of the team.  She is currently pursuing her certification in vestibular rehabilitation.

Anna Albrecht

Anna Albrecht

PT, DPT, MPH, CAPP-Pelvic

Anna earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Governors State University in 2016, as a mid-life career shift.  Following this, she completed the rigorous requirements to be granted a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic) by the American Physical Therapy Association – Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. Anna’s approach to patient care is light-hearted, and incorporates skills gained from prior professional experiences, including Respiratory Care and Pilates.

She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy, and a lifelong learner, constantly adding to her unique tool kit to provide compassionate, individualized care regardless of a person’s cultural background, gender identification, or sexual orientation. 

Anna currently lives in La Grange Park, a vegetarian foodie who enjoys an active lifestyle that includes cycling, yoga , anything outdoors and live music. She is the proud mother of 2 sons, Jack and Ivan, who share her enthusiasm for life, travel, and anything off-the-beaten-path.

Alexis Alzona

Alexis Alzona

LAT, ATC Outreach Athletic Trainer

Alexis is very excited to be the first athletic trainer to join the GoodLife team! She is a BOC certified and Illinois licensed Athletic Trainer. Alexis graduated from Lewis University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training. During Alexis’s time at Lewis she was part of the Flyerettes Dance Team, was a mentor to athletic training program applicants, and worked as a tutor at the university writing center. After finishing school she began working as an athletic trainer for St. Laurence High School in Burbank, IL.

Since then she has developed a student trainer program at the school to give kids an opportunity to learn more about the sports medicine field. Alexis is happy to continue working at St. Laurence and being able to help the athletes with their injuries so they can return to their sport. She specializes in preventative, acute and emergency care of injuries. One of her favorite things about her career is seeing the athletes succeed both on and off the field. 

In her free time, Alexis loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her niece and nephews! Lounging around with her dogs is another favorite pastime of hers. She also enjoys traveling, shopping for unique vintage clothing, and taking a variety of dance classes.

Meet Our Dietitian

Eileen Conneely

Eileen Conneely

RD, LD, CPT, Registered Dietitian, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Women's Fitness Specialist

Eileen Conneely, GoodLife Physical Therapy’s Registered Dietitian, became interested in health and nutrition in high school. She knew she wanted to pursue a career in nutrition to educate and help others.
Eileen earned her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Dayton and completed her dietetic internship at Indiana University School of Medicine. She began her career in corporate wellness at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Eileen helped create and maintain their internal wellness department from the Chicago office. Her primary mission was to keep the Blue Cross Blue Shield employees healthy.
In 2008 while working as a Registered Dietitian at a fitness center, Eileen became a certified personal trainer. This way she could better serve her clients, as fitness and nutrition go hand in hand. Since then, Eileen has become a certified cycling instructor, certified women’s fitness specialist and enjoys teaching other fitness classes. She also presents corporate wellness seminars, sees patients at a local children’s clinic and volunteers as a driver for The American Cancer Society.
Eileen currently resides in Tinley Park with her husband and 3 beautiful children. She spends most of her free time chauffeuring them to and from their various activities.  Some fun facts include: her favorite foods are peanut butter and anything sweet. Eileen also loves shopping, family time and vacationing in Destin, FL.
You can count on her for practical ideas to make good nutrition easier. Whether it’s balancing your meals, lowering your blood pressure or losing weight Eileen is the one to see!

Our dietitian is now accepting new patients on a cash pay basis and will soon be accepting certain insurances.

Robin Clark

Business Manager

Robin is one of the friendly voices and faces that our patients hear and see when coming into our physical therapy clinics. She has been with the company for a little over 6 years and is excited to grow with the company. As the office manager, she travels between our 2 clinics and handles billing, accounting, and patient records. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves to bake with her niece and nephew. She is very passionate about ministry work and loves her cats.

Laura Petritis

Laura Petritis

Front Desk Coordinator

Laura is the Front Desk Coordinator at our Orland Park location. She handles all front desk operations including patient scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and patient authorization. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Lewis University in Human Resources and Psychology, and loves working with people.

Laura is married and has two daughters. She loves going to concerts and going shopping with her girls. Laura and her family are also involved with Special Olympics Illinois.
